Join us while we discover the wines of the Loire Valley! In this first series we will explore 2 of the 4 regions of the Loire Valley; Pays Nantais and Anjou-Saumur. We will be tasting 6 wines from across the 2 regions and learning all about the wine making process, the wine makers and the terroir!

About the event
Welcome to our Vino Voyage winter wine tasting series! Wine educators and sommeliers Brian Curry and Heidi Haney are excited to BOTH be presenting the wines of France to you! We are starting with The Loire Valley. (This year we won't be making Brian do all the talking ~ Heidi's jumping on board too)!
The Loire Valley produces a diverse range of wines, including famous white wines like Sancerre (Sauvignon Blanc) and Vouvray (Chenin Blanc), as well as red and rose wines. Key grape varieties include Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc, and Melon de Bourgogne, which are used to create still, sparkling and dessert wines. Notable sub-regions for wine include the western Nantes area (Muscadet), Anjou and Saumur, and the central Touraine and Centre-Val de Loire regions (Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume).
